How do I generate a forecast?

This article outlines how to generate a forecast using the Factor UI. Your plan type will determine which forecasting options are available to you. The process is generally consistent, however for the purposes of this article we'll focus on the Historical Load forecast for a single service point.

Prerequisites

• At least one Rate Set has been configured

• Consumption data is in the correct format

Creating a forecast

Step 1: From the workbench home, select Create a site specific forecast

Step 2: Configure the forecast:

• Forecast name: Provide a name for your forecast, your organisation may have an agreed format.

• Forecast basis: Select Historical load.

• Rate set: Select the rate sets which the Charge Schedule will use.

• Upload historical usage data: Provide a csv file containing the historical consumption data. It must be formatted as per the Factor guidelines.

• Forecast start date: select the date you wish to forecast volumes from.

• Forecast end date: select the date you wish to forecast volumes to.

Step 3: Click Launch site forecast

The forecast page will update when the forecast has completed
